Haha. I didn't write a diary like the others so have to depend on my memory.

Day1

I shall fast forward and skip the parts where we went early.
Checked in and went into our groups: A, B, C, D.
Hehe. I'm in group Donkey!=D
With Mae, Jason, Yiren, Sgt Adeline, Mam Xinying, Sir Junxiang, Sir Pialeong.
If I'm not wrong we're the smallest group > < retarded="D."> <. Soriya Centre Market, shopping! Haha. Bought some stuff, but was quite rush for time cause we only had about 1hour and 20 minutes. Went back to hotel and learnt some basic Khmer. Quite fun lar=D. Spent alot of time trying to kill some irritating bugs in the room that wouldn't die after hitting it like 10 times. After dinner did preparation for high school games, our group was: Me, Mae, Kokswee, Mam Xinying, Sir Dickson, Sir KinKeong, Sir Jiannan. Their demonstration of 老鹰捉小鸡 was amusing=D.

Day2

Tuol Sleng and Killing Fields.
Learnt about the torture and killing methods, saw the cells in which the prisoners were killed or tortured. Could still see the blood stains in some. We saw the pictures of the victims and the clothing the people at that time wore. Some were only innocent babies. At the Killing Fields we saw the mass graves that the people were buried in. Like a few hundred in a big one. Found a teeth of the dead people, some bones and clothing. Kind of hard to believe there were this kind of people who like killed babies by throwing them up and stabbing them just for the fun of it. Saw all the skulls, there were LOADS. Like one whole tower.

High School Visit.
One of the highlights of this trip. It was fun yet educational at the same time. I learnt to appreciate what we have in Singapore. Their classrooms are like the same size or maybe smaller and they have 60-70 people in one class. They have no fans or air-con, their roof some got hole one. Despite all these, we could tell that they were a bunch of happy kids. They were very warm to each other and had many points we could learn. Played games with them, our team split into half, me, mae, sir dickson and sir jiannan.=D. Felt that it was a very meaningful trip cause you could see that they were very happy and you will feel good. In the end we played one of their games, sort of dodgeball with a chatek. Dunno how to spell lar. =D. It was fun! haha. They were really really friendly leh! At the end they came to us and told us to take care. So cute lar!
After that on the way to dinner I puked. And didn't have appetite for dinner. Had dinner in team anyway. I was sitting next to Sir Junxiang and Mr Yap, Sir PiaLeong was opposite me and Mam Shenglian and Jason was sitting on either side of Sir PiaLeong. Out of us 6, only Sir PiaLeong and Mr Yap was eating> <. Mam Constance asked Sir PiaLeong a lame question by Sir KinKeong.

*Mam holds up two pineapples that is quite similar*
Mam: What is the difference between these two pineapples? Think in Sir Keong's mindset.
*Sir PL pauses for very long...*
Sir PL: Is it the shape?
Sir KK: Sigh, your IQ is not very high.
Mam: No. One is going to be eaten first and the other one after it.
*Sir PL stares and holds up two hands*
*Others give the diao look*
Sir PL: What is the difference between my hands?
Mam: HUH you eat your hands ar.
Sir PL: No? One is to slap your left face and one is to slap your right face.=D

Went back to hotel, skipped briefing, talked a bit with Mam Constance and Mam Grace. Slept early!=D

Day3

Went to the clinic instead of Oudong Mountain because many of us were sick.
Missed the orphanage visit because I overslept> <. Damn. I wanted to go=( River Cruise! I was afraid it was going to be bumpy and make everyone sick again but it was very smooth and std2s became very high again! Haha we all felt much better after the cruise. Dinner was good. Haha. It was the first meal I had after I became sick. I think our table ate the most lar. Like ours was almost all gone and the others had one full plate there. Haha. Becoming high is good for health!=D After dinner we were still very high and everything! Sgt Adeline: Yah! You all very high today leh! What happen! Haha! Day4

Siem Reap! Haha. It was a long trip but we stopped twice. So it was sort of 3 sections. Std2s were high-ing during the first part and the second part the seniors became high too! Haha they started playing some hitting hand game and ended off playing the 'you-slap-me-I-slap-you' game.=D. It was damn fun watching lar. Wahlao the seniors hit hard. Play with them I think can die one lar. Amusing amusing=D OHOH. on the way we saw many COWS!
Hardly anyone touched lunch lar. I think we drank more. There was YEOS there leh! Singapore brand=D. Many people ate crickets. Haha I didnt dare to. Looks so sick lar. They claimed it tasted like prawn.
Reached Siem Reap, saw people riding on motorcycles with huge dead pigs behind.
Checked in to the hotel. It was nice lar! Just that our room wasnt bigger than the others, same size but we had smaller beds. Went to the Handicap International and the Les Artisan D' Angkor, felt fortunate to be living in Singapore again, at least there wasn't the risk of stepping on land mines like any moment.
Dinner with cultural show, dinner was not bad, but cultural show was boring. Haha. The seniors got obsessed with the weird sound.> <. Gift exchange, I got Xinyi and Lydia got me, haha. I thought the gift exchange thingy was fun. We all learnt alot about everyone and stuff and everyone enjoyed themself=D.

Day5

I think this was sort of the funnest day lar. Went to the angkor wat in the morning, at first was quite sian but later got better. People were being damn lame. Refer to Mae's blog for the retardedness of Sir Dickson and others=D.
Lunch the noodles was great. I think almost everyone had that=D.
Last-minute shopping again, if im not wrong. Bought many many stuff=D.
Continued the temple tour, cant really remember much though> <.
Sunset! we climbed up, and was told it was going to rain, so we went down again. After a while, we had to leave and just as we left, the sun begun to set. Wahlao it was damn nice la the sunset!
Dinner in teams again, another cultural show.. Haha no one was watching la. Ordered drinks, Sir PL treat. hehe. Sir JX and Jason had mango and Sgt Adeline claimed that there was a fly inside.=D. Then they were saying inside got hair. So conclusion: A hairy fly flew in. =D. Our team was laming there=D. fun lar!
Next was pub street! In teams again, A&D, this time. Walked up and down, played poking=D and decided to go into the first shop where we had drinks again. Watched Sir PL play hei bai pei with Sgt Zhiying, amusing!=D. played some lame thingo with Mam Xinying, Mae and Mam Pearl Ning. In the end played cai quan with Mam Pearl Ning, Sgt Adeline and Sgt Zhiying, Xinyi and Mam Xinying. Fun lar. Loser the face kena draw. Mam Xinying kena a turtle, Mam Pearl Ning kena a bird and fish, Xinyi kena one long long stroke and one big mole XD.
Talked to the sgts, had fun teasing them, 'tong, tong, tong~' hahaha! Donkey!<3
Bought a shirt from Janson and as the others were gone, we decided not to go to the party.

Overall I thought that this was a really fun trip and was well-planned. We got to know more about each other and especially the seniors and teachers. we got to see the fun-loving and retarded side of them that we won't usually see! Haha. DHSJAB CAMBODIA TRIP 2007<3!
